Today in class we read a chapter from the book, A Capital Upbringing.
We learned about the Washington County school that was on the upper
playground. It was a three story building with the auditorium on the top
floor and a "peeing wall" in the basement that was part of the boy's
bathroom.
We also had the opportunity to play records on a record
player that we borrowed from one of our special educator's Pat Collier.
We had our own little sock hop.
